Yes sorry I forgot to mention, that my wheel was the older version of the freehub body. I was not under the impression the older freehub could be updated to the new version. Newer versions of the GSD should have the updated freehub and hopefully less issues!
Can you expand on this comment " - The Stow Decks are much better.". I am struggling to find a use case for lifting and lowering the "decks". I installed the wide decks on my GSD 3 years ago and never gave it another thought, except that the bike should come with them pre installed.
Just as an update to this, Tern had the replacement freewheels in stock and I had it replaced at a local dealer. I also have a new wheel being built on a New Hub so that I have a spare in case.
I have heard of a few people doing this, and I would also like to move my light below the rack. I usually have a crate and a few backpacks that block the light or create a shadow on the road making it hard to see. The light on the handlebars also is very blinding to pedestrians because it...
Okay, just wanted to point that out. I didn't see this in your review, but the ability to stand the bike up on its rear and change a flat tire is really an incredible feature that some of the budget bikes don't have. I used to be pretty concerned about flat tires and the ability to work on...
I love a Tern GSD as much as the next person, but an Aventon Abound is not $2499. The list price is $1999, and frequently on sale for less. The Aventon bike has its quirks and not nearly as refined as a tern, but it is a a lot of bike for the price.
Any one else have any rear wheel failures? I am on my second failure on my s10lx. It seems like water can get into the freehub and corrode the bearings. My first failure was last June at about 5500miles. My rear wheel was replaced and now i failed again after another 2k miles. My rear...
Here is an example (not mine) of a bikes at work trailer transporting a 4x8. I beilive they have a specific attachment for this.
Here I am carrying a full sheet with a WIKE trailer and had the lumber yard cut the sheet down (as mentioned above).
Wow, never thought I would see a Hinterher in USA, nonetheless Massachusetts! Their trailers seem really great on paper, I would love to get my hands on one, some day....
Have you insulated the floor yet? I don't have an urban arrow but helped a friend insulate the perforated floor of the urban arrow recently. They used some of those rubber gym/play mats and cut to size. My kids are generally warm in the GSD ecosystem (shield and storm box), and don't...
