Secure Bike Parking Hack For Apartment/Condo Folks

I looked into putting some sort of shed or storage container in my assigned parking spot and couldn't figure out a rule-abiding way to do it. I like the van idea if it works for you. Would be hard to get e-bikes in and out and I think all vehicles have to be registered here.

Urban Arrow Family Cargo Bike Review: The Ultimate Car Replacement?

I haven't ridden and don't own an Urban Arrow, but I'd love to hear from people who have and their primary cargo isn't kids. The dealer network seems to be the best in the US for a front loading cargo bike, and potentially the best overall front loader available in the states, but is it still...

    Acoustic Bike "Show Off"

I recently upgraded the drivetrain on my acoustic cargo bike to make the hills a bit more bearable. Here she is in all her glory: Is it fast? No. Does it handle well? No. Do I ride it remotely often? No. Is it the most fun bike I own? Yes, by a mile! I'm looking forward to bikepacking with...

    Save the Date: Pizza Roll!

Hi All! It may be cold out now, but save the date for this year's Pizza Roll in Blacksburg, VA. We'll be rolling every 2nd Friday, 5 miles at a super chill pace with pizza at the end. Super kid and cargo bike friendly. I'd love to meet some of y'all there. I'll have more details as we get closer :)

My biggest bike success of 2025...

...was getting my office to trash the old bike rack for a set of 3 U racks. It took a while, but asking the right people enough times finally got it done! I like to think it's helped more people bike to work since there's now somewhere safe and secure to store their vehicle, but I've got not...

    Bicycle-Friendly Retail - Part I - Basic research

"I changed one/some locations for my errands because they are more accessible by bike." I think this is the most important part of your survey so far. I now factor bike parking and distance into all of my decisions to shop or visit somewhere. If it's too far or there's no where safe or secure...

    Durham NC Bike Train

We've got music on ours! I'm hesitant to start an Instagram since most parents don't want their kid's face online. Hoping to get the principal to join us once it warms up, seems like that is key.

Tubeless tyres for cargos, sell it to me.

I haven't done it on cargo but I had it on my commuter Trek Crockett for a while. (so, less weight but similar miles) I found that if I topped it off by adding some sealant through the value every 3ish months or so, it would be good until I had to replace a tire. It depends on the wheel for if...

Are there bike shops that offer same-day service (or loaner bikes) for cargo bikes in your area?

Sometimes if the repairs will take more than a few days, the local Trek store will give me a loaner bike. It's not a cargo bike, but it's better than no bike for a week. I think this used to be company policy but is hit or miss at different stores now.

New Cargo Bike Model Coming To North America

From my understanding the SX motor isn't the best choice for heavy loads, I think I'd prefer a cargo line motor but I do like the integrated rear rack and folding front basket. Interesting "Lefty" fork as well.

    Durham NC Bike Train

Do you have any tips for growing your bike bus? I co-lead a small one currently and we're having trouble getting buy-in from new families.

    Rear Radar on eCargo Bike

Looks interesting, I had not seen that before. Not compatible with Android yet, but I will keep it in mind.

Suggestion wanted: Good small inner city non-electric cargo bikes to carry 2 kids to their school plus me to the office after.

I do not regularly transport kids so I'm no expert on this, but you may want to look into bikes where you can have one kid up front and one behind you if you need the smaller footprint to fit in an elevator. I think you can put a regular kids seat on the back of an Omnium, or WorkCycles makes...
