So Le Petit Porteur is so popular they’re pretty much always out of stock. A local bike shop is selling new Yuba Kombi so I got myself one of those. Very nice bike!
So in the wider cycling community around here, lots of people like to extol the virtues of waxing chains. As someone who commutes on a Brampton, I get it too. A few accidents I’ve got nice clothes of mine covered in oil so I might switch my Brampton to being a waxed chain.
But for a cargo bike...
In terms of price and customisability, I’ve decided on the Le Petit Porteur Longtail. I’ve bought the frame only and I’ll try and trick it out and do something fun with my local bike shop here in Singapore. It’s also the easiest to “electrify” officially if the rules change here in future.
I plan on launching a thread with a “one stop shop” listing cargo bike sellers in Singapore, plus a few links to other communities in SG I am involved with.
I am currently looking for a cargo bike that has to be non electric as e-bikes are basically banned here.
It should be a small bike I can fit in a lift to ferry two children to school. My commute to their school has a short section road riding, which means a trailer would be illegal, so no dice...
