I have an update on the clicking coming from the front of my Orox s12, turns out the teeth on the chain ring spider were heavily worn. I suspect this is why the locking kept coming loose/failing.
I have received a replacement spider on warranty so fingers crossed this saga will now be over.
Just to add-
The rear wheel bearings are 6903
The freehub takes 4 bearings, 2x 6803 and 2x 6802 RV
Chain ring spider - Samox part number F.10001.0084.03.04
Chain ring is 32T with a BCD of 104
Just as an update. This fix has given me no issues and is still going strong since fixing it around 4,000km ago.
Having seen the parts, I have no reason to believe the official Tern fix with thread lock wouldn't give the same good results.
I've had no issues with the other Bosch stuff. I did find my head light failed a few times due to water ingress but it's a different one to what you will be running.
I like riding off road a lot so clicking them up a notch, sort of in a vee shape keeps them from digging into the ground or pulling up and dragging the brambles with you.
After seeing tern seem to be moving towards adjustable length centre stand legs I thought I'd share a fix I've been testing for the last 6 months and it's working really well.
The issue-
Over time the lower legs of the centre stand fitted to my Orox were working loose, shortening on their own...
