Hi! I am Sharon from Wesley Chapel.
I got Big Red (Trek Fetch 2) in August 2023. I have ridden him everyday since.
I have been riding in Florida since 2014. I love that I can ride everyday. (Yep, ridden during the lulls in hurricanes).
I got Big Red when my 20 year old minivan conked out one Saturday. The mechanic couldn’t look at it until Monday. I spent the weekend researching cargo bikes.
I thought I wanted an Urban Arrow but there were no shops local to me. I knew from experience that whatever I got would need to be serviced locally. My LBS carries Trek and until that weekend, I didn’t know they had cargo bikes.
I called up the owner and he talked me down from the Fetch 4 (bakfiets) to the Fetch 2 (longtail). He explained how different the riding is for the bakfiets type bike.
Yeah, I ordered the bike sight unseen and never ridden an electric bike. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But I love this guy. My minivan is still going but it might be that I only drive it on Sundays for pizza and monthly to the chiropractor because he is out of bike my range.
I love to add stickers to the panniers.
My next big purchase is a second battery.
