Hey all!

I’ve always worked around bike advocacy but currently in the thick of it merging two bike advocacy groups into a bike / walk.

I’m trying to find a central place to talk to others either on the board or staff. I would love if this was in the public and not on slack/discord.

Soooo. Who here is an active diehard advocate? Tag your group and what you work on!

S'up? I'm the Executive Director of ForeverGreen Trails, a trail advocacy nonprofit in Pierce County, WA. ForeverGreen Trails supports the development of a unified system of trails throughout Pierce County, WA, via education, advocacy, promotion, and collaboration.

I run Bikescape here in Provincetown, MA.

We focus on doing the things the town isn’t good at, which is operating programs (bike library, bike repair classes, fun rides) and advocating for better integration of bikes into the built environment (invisible things like zoning code updates and traffic regulations and visible things like better bike racks, wayfinding, and street layouts).

I’ve been searching for grants to fund a secure bike parking project (with bike hangars like the ones from Cyclehoop) but haven’t had any success yet.

Finding funding and volunteers are the biggest challenges right now. Lots of project ideas, but there are only a few of us putting in the hours to move things along.
