What’s up everyone! My name is Nacho and along with my wife and 5 year old, we are living car free in Tempe, Arizona. We moved from the car dependent suburbs of Goodyear to Culdesac Tempe about 6 months ago and have been loving it.

Being completely car free, we bike everywhere and at all times, especially this time of year. During the summer, we ride in the morning and usually take the light rail in the afternoons.

Our cargo bikes are Specialized Globe Hauls, a long tail and short tail. I also have a commuter bike which is a Priority 600 All Road for when I go into the office.

You can follow me on instagram, where I try and document some of our car free living, @TrailNachos

You are the first family I know that moved to culdesac!!! I’ve been following the development for years. It’s also been fun to watch your story on IG. Thanks for joining this community 🙌🙌

Slowly but surely we are getting more and more families moving in. Our goal here is to show that living car free is possible with a young family

So cool to hear about a family that lives there. I only learned about Culdesac last winter when we were planning a girls trip to PHX and ended up booking an airbnb in Tempe. We went for dinner at Cocina Chiwas (which we loved) and then wandered around the neighbourhood in the evening afterwards. Love the concept!

It’s been awesome living here and they make very easy to go car free. The complex has probably doubled in size since you last visited. If your ever back in town let us know
