Hey Friends

So many years ago we organized a cargo bike race - and it was fun! We've been thinking about organizing something again but maybe less ' race ' and more ' jamboree '.

Questions:

Have you participated in a specific cargo bike/transport meetup/race/party/ride? How'd it go?
As a cargo bike owner, what would entice you to participate?
As a cargo bike curious person, what would make you show up to a cargo bike/transport event?

A ebike festival will take place in Dortmund/Germany from April 11th to April 13th, 2025. A cargo bike race will also take place on April 13th, 2025.

Free Snow Cones. That's the answer.

Not joking... Bunch Bikes has sponsored the sno-cone truck at D.C. Family Bike Fest the last 4 years (and it's the passion project of one of our employees to organize the entire event), and the sno cones are a big draw for people with kids to come out. 1500+ in attendance last year.

Other things:

Get local bike shops to show up with cargo bikes to demo.
Kids bike parade
Free bike tuneups provided by local shops
Gear swap
Raffle
Get local bike buses in neighborhood to "ride in" to the event.
Food trucks
etc.

Then connect with local people in Calgary like @MommyPedals to help spread the word on social media.

Hey guys, on March 28th cargobikepolo will be played in Düsseldorf / Germany. We, the www.Lastenhelfer.de, are organizing the tournament at the "Cycling World" trade fair in the Böhler area. You can play from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The rules briefly explained:
Two teams of two cargo bikes each play against each other. There is a bat and a driver on each cargo bike. Each game lasts 2 x 5 minutes. It is played with two goals. The team with the most goals or the one that scores 5 goals first wins.Very important, it should be a fun event first and foremost and fair play comes first. So come to Germany and play cargobikepolo, we have an airport for the overseas and a nice youth-hostel for staying. We can spend, if necessary, cargobikes.
