Enviolo Automatiq - Speed Limiting

I have the Enviolo Automatiq (automatic) on a R+M Multicharger2 and on a retro-fitted to a R+M Load75.

In general, I am satisfied with this system but one minor issue: I have observed that this has a speed limiting effect when going downhills, and wondered if there was a way for the system to stop trying to regulate cadence at higher speeds.

It become most noticeable this was an effect the Enviolo Automatiq was having on my bike after retrofitting one to the Load75 (from a manual shifter, same hub.) There are a few downhills stretches in my commute that I used to be able to "encourage" my bike easily past the 32 km/h limit (up to about 40 km/h) by maxing out the gearing and pedaling.

When I try to add more human power in a downhill situation, I can feel the auto-transmission trying to regulate the cadence and making it physically hard to pedal. I just want it to butt out.

Is this something anybody has observed? It it a common issue with a resolution?

I have a Trek Fetch +2 and I also experience this. It is the motor cutting out when it gets the limit set by the dealer. It doesn’t limit your speed but without the pedal assist, it just feels slower.

I wondered about that, but the Load (retrofit) didn't used to feel so aggressively limited.

On the retrofit bike, the motor (not a smart system) and hub itself are exactly the same. I figured that the Automatiq is just an interface to the existing drive system so all existing limits would apply. I did get eShift firmware installed so maybe that is allowing the Automatiq to cut power to motor (which is more than I had assumed it would do 🤔)

Do you feel the slipping as (I assume) the Automatiq tries to find your cadence? It's like a irregular "falling through" sensation as you pedal at high speeds.

I can feel this on both bikes, so it's not unique to one configuration.

As an aside, I also tried manually calibrating both bikes on the stand. No change in behaviour.
