I have the Enviolo Automatiq (automatic) on a R+M Multicharger2 and on a retro-fitted to a R+M Load75.
In general, I am satisfied with this system but one minor issue: I have observed that this has a speed limiting effect when going downhills, and wondered if there was a way for the system to stop trying to regulate cadence at higher speeds.
It become most noticeable this was an effect the Enviolo Automatiq was having on my bike after retrofitting one to the Load75 (from a manual shifter, same hub.) There are a few downhills stretches in my commute that I used to be able to "encourage" my bike easily past the 32 km/h limit (up to about 40 km/h) by maxing out the gearing and pedaling.
When I try to add more human power in a downhill situation, I can feel the auto-transmission trying to regulate the cadence and making it physically hard to pedal. I just want it to butt out.
Is this something anybody has observed? It it a common issue with a resolution?
