Greetings: Single Adult from Minneapolis

Good morning. Or likely afternoon for those in Europe. I learned of this community through Bluesky and I hope to connect with others.

I'm a recently turned urbanist that wanted to live somewhere where a car is not necessary. Since moving out of the United States is not feasible for me at this time, I started looking within. Long story short, Minneapolis is now my current home.

Since moving, I bought a Tern NBD class 1 e-bike. It's already helping me with exploring the city and with light carrying of goods. I included an image of the bike parked right outside a thrift shop. Not pictured is a side basket/pannier: I likely had it on me when the picture was taken since I did go shopping for some long sleeve non-graphic shirts.

I hope to gain more physical strength to go farther without needing the e-power as much, though that is a bit of a long term goal. Should that goal be unattainable, I hope to at least be active enough to still use bikes like this until my bones give out. We'll see how much time is on my side.

I thank you for that reminder. It's been removed, and both that and the receipt are in my apartment.

The rest...is now hoping to be as car-lite as possible.
