I've been commuting by bike on and off since my job followed me into the city in 2008; it was more "off" than "on" while my kids were smaller, but since picking up a used e-cargo in 2022 and my youngest hit elementary grades, I've gotten back to biking more days than I don't.
Our family rides a Madsen bucket bike with a self-installed aftermarket TSDZ2 mid-drive assist (one of only 5-6 that I've seen around Baltimore at this point), and a RadWagon4 which is my daily commuter. I'm happy to answer questions where I can or connect with local folks for test rides!

I have a Craigslist alert for cargo bike postings and 90% of the "real" cargo bikes that pop up within a 30 mile radius are coming from DC, which I think speaks to the comparative availability (and perhaps economic/demographic differences).
