My LBS has advised that my rotor needs replacing, but can't source the rotor until later in the year. I have provided the following information, based on what is printed on the rotor + some research:

- TRP E.2.3
- 21F F
- TR180-41

Or equivalently described as: "TRP, Ø 180 - 2.3 mm, 6-hole, for TRP 4-piston C 2.3 Cargo: front wheel"

With this information, the LBS have a "hope" rotor that they can use but advise it has an "aluminium float centre" (I am not sure of the implications of this)... it's also more expensive than I would have expected at $179 NZD. I haven't asked about exact model.

The retailer of my bike (in a different city) has suggested that I can use a "Magura Rotor MDR-P 180mm", it retails with them for $120 NZD. This seems like a more reasonable price, but I really don't know.

I'm inclined to go with the retailer option, they know the bike, but it just strikes me as weird that there's not a lot of info about how to replace perishables like this. It sounds like this brake rotor is an "OEM" type-deal which people don't carry stock of.

Is there any guidance that can be provided and what are the implications of aluminium float centre?
