Hi! We are new to cargo biking and are looking to purchase our first bike! We have test ridden a few options (a few different Terns, RadWagons, and have an appointment to test ride the Aventon Abound) and were leaning toward a Tern GSD but recently saw what appears to be a good deal on a used Yuba Spicy Curry (V3) near us. I wanted to see if anyone has strong opinions about the Yuba bikes (since we already know everyone loves the GSD and we loved riding it too!)

Thanks!

I rely on the front suspension of my Tern. We have a ton of potholes and that was a dealbreaker for any bike that was a rigid frame. Good luck!

You are doing the right thing to test ride them all!! Yuba doesn't offer as many accessories as the Tern but they are good bikes.

V3 spicy is a solid bike, also a very different rider fit than the GSD. Try both, especially if you're sharing the bike with another rider. I've had both but I won't tell you where were settled, because fit is super personal. You have to feel it for yourself. If one really hits your sweet spot, I'd probably go with that.

Otherwise, Tern does offer a few more premium options than Yuba, if you want weatherproof drivetrain especially. I consider that a good investment especially if you don't have a garage.
