has anyone transported sheets of plywood in a cargo bike? ive got at bucket bike style transporter 2 but am open to any ideas.

ive been rotating the problem in my mind but cant think of a good way to do it.

I have a gigantic trailer that could accommodate sheets of plywood, but riding with anything that wide and heavy can be challenging. I’ve moved couches and shelving units and tons of bikes with it. (The trailer is a Hinterher Bike Transporter 5 that I imported from Germany years ago; the US equivalent would be a Bikes at Work trailer.)

Can your hardware store deliver? 😜

Wow, never thought I would see a Hinterher in USA, nonetheless Massachusetts! Their trailers seem really great on paper, I would love to get my hands on one, some day....

I had to jump through lots of hoops to import the Hinterher. It was for my bike tour business at the time to move bikes around. (The pandemic killed that business, sadly.) Hinterher doesn’t even offer their web site in English any more since they are focused on the local market.

Big box stores will make a few straight cuts for you at the store if you know what measurements to cut. Might make the haul more manageable.

If you need the whole plywood sheet in tact... I don't know of a way to do this. I can barely accomplish this in my minivan.
