Hi All,

Does anyone have a recommendation for a battery-powered or USB-powered (plugged into a power bank) heated blanket? Many are on the market, but it is hard to know which works well. My use case is to help keep my kids warm in our Urban Arrow family when it's below 20 degrees F outside. Thank you!

The maximum wattage available from any flavor of USB seems a bit light for creating usable heat. I suspect batteries plural and a lot of insulation is your best choice.Screen Shot 2025-01-07 at 3.36.48 PM.png

Chiming to subscribe to responses / recommendations. Esp. those that consider safety of battery/chargers (though these should be small enough batteries it's less of a worry)

Have you insulated the floor yet? I don't have an urban arrow but helped a friend insulate the perforated floor of the urban arrow recently. They used some of those rubber gym/play mats and cut to size. My kids are generally warm in the GSD ecosystem (shield and storm box), and don't typically wear gloves or hats when they are zipped up (as cold as -30F Windchill). I often see blankets and colder looking kids in urban arrows with rain covers, and assumed the cold air might be coming from the floor.

That's a good idea. One reason I didn't get the UA floor mat accessory is it isn't meant to block airflow. I just trashed some old gym mats too this summer
