Cargo E-Biking Mom in DC 👋🚲

Hello from Washington, DC!

We are a family of four living in NE DC.

I purchased my first cargo e-bike during the initial REI e-bike super sale and started the occasional daycare drop-off/commuting via bike (walking/metro-ing on non-bike days).

Just upgraded to a new Xtracycle Hopper so I can finally bike with *both* our kiddos. We are all loving it! School is a short walk from our home but I'm looking forward to more weekend adventures via bike *and* having both kiddos participating with me at the next Ward 5 Family Bike Ride!

If there are any other DC bikers would love to connect (and would love your help with upcoming advocacy for Taylor Street NE protected bikeway!)

Loving the Hopper so far. It's incredibly stable/smooth even with 100lb+ of kids in the back. I am still getting used to the new motor as it requires more physical oomph than my REI e-bike did (thankfully the throttle helps for big hills!)

Love the name idea. Bringing all ideas for family vote this week
