The administration of the city of Duesseldorf sells very inexpensive fruit trees every year for private gardens.

You bet. If you have basic woodworking skills, there are a few v.1 floating around for sale. They took a bad rap for the plywood bed not holding up but that's an easy fix.

Yeah. We ended up creating an aftermarket box from phenolic plywood and that is what we are using for 2.0.

You won't need a rigid fork (unless you want one). We have a simple lockout solution for (almost) every suspension fork coming.
