Howdy all you lovely cargobikies! Former Alaskan, year-round bike commuter, and long-time bike advocate. Now in Washington state for many years and we got rid of 1 car and are eagerly looking forward to replacing it soon w/ an electric cargo bike/grocery-getter/stuff-hauler/island-zoomer. Meanwhile, still pedaling my all-rounder.

Thanks for asking, Forrest! That's an old 2004 Rivendell Atlantis outfitted with 44mm-wide SnowCat rims. I don't use those wheels much anymore here in WA, but they were da bomb up in AK. More photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/akrando/albums/72157609908249398/with/3055283964/

As for an e-bike, I'm aiming for a dual-battery Surly Skid Loader w/ racks-n-bags as a new daily driver. The local shop steered me in that direction after I thought I wanted a Benno Boost. Both seem like they'd be good, versatile island bikes here for the family. I'm always eager to hear insight & suggestions though!

Beautiful bike - great adventures!

Ooh, I'm all for the Skid Loader. We have a dual-battery Xtracycle and rarely need it, but it's well worth having. I've taken the Boost for a ride, and drooled over really nice Skid Loader builds (a dropper post option looked amazing!)
