I changed my Orox chain 'again' today, this time lasting just 1,100km... It has been a very muddy winter but I really need to do something to make the chain last longer. I've seen a few running waxed chains in poor weather and road conditions.
So, what do you think, is it worth investing in?

The thing here is that I ride the bike through thick claggy mud and ride grit stone trails daily. Will wax work for me?

You should ping my LBS owner (FillariFillari in Helsinki) who is on the Orox group in FB and who often sings the praises of chain wax on his Orox. In fact, every new Tern with a chain out of the shop is now waxed. I remember a few years ago when a friend of mine sold me on the idea and he asked about it when I had my QH in for service. There are no downsides with chain wax that I've seen in over two years of waxing in Helsinki winters and horrible gritty/dusty/muddy conditions. YMMV, but FilliariFillari will have all the info you need regarding riding an Orox with a waxed chain.

Yeah he's the one that's made me consider it. I always thought it was a road bike thing only. Didn't want to bother him but might send him a DM.
