I keep getting tubeless shoved down my neck and I think it's probably for me but I fear the jump. The thing that worries me is most is these riders (no shame here) are leasure riders, only doing a few thousand km a year at most. So, has anyone ran a tubeless set up in a cargo long term? Does the sealant last long enough to only replace when I'm replacing a worn tyre (once or twice a year) and do I need a special pump?
I'm thinking I want to run lower pressures on my Orox.

Cheers.

I haven't done it on cargo but I had it on my commuter Trek Crockett for a while. (so, less weight but similar miles) I found that if I topped it off by adding some sealant through the value every 3ish months or so, it would be good until I had to replace a tire.
It depends on the wheel for if you can seat the tire with a normal pump. Road and narrow mtb on a slippery rim? Probably yes. Fat bike or tight rim? Probably no. For the Orox I'm thinking you'd need a compressor or canister pump.

It may not hurt to try it out so you can feel the lower pressure. You can always switch back. (this would be easier to do in warm weather when you can clean out the tire outside tho)

Thanks, I have it a try last night and it all went really well. Done some miles today and all good so far.
