Hey Folks!
if you're in the ATL area or nearby, we're having the Twilight Criterium friday and saturday in Athens.
here's the website:
So those from out of town, I suggest this as your transit method:
This parking lot is right off of the Loop on College Station (right down the road from my place)
maps.app.goo.gl
Then take your bikes and hop on the North Oconee Greenway. on the greenway, after you go under the overpass, there's a 4 way intersection on the greenway and you can either go straight for a scenic route (you cross the Lexington Road at Mama's Boy and ride through the Oconee park to get up on the firefly), or you take a right at the 4 way, head uphill and cross Lexington there.
then you take firefly straight into downtown and it'll be crowded with bicycles and people having a good time.
I can provide a map of the best bike routes through town, and other things such as best places to grab grub, etc. if y'all want.
lol but do NOT try to go anywhere near downtown with a car. this event is when bicycles take over the city and it's just peak bike vibes.
