Looking to pickup some spare tubes to have on hand for our Tern HSD and I was curious if anyone has a brand/type they would recommend that provides the best puncture resistance and overall durability. .

Schwalbe Air Plus is one of the most recommended - comes in 20" size. There are other brands like Kenda that do "thorn resistant" tubes which are thicker rubber as well.
